In my decades as a medium, I’ve learned that not all paranormal encounters end in fear.

This true medium experience, born from a haunting, shifted into a spiritual afterlife story when a regression therapy session unveiled a young girl’s presence.

Her journey to the light, facilitated by my guides, offers a testament to the love that endures beyond death.

The Revelation

It sometimes—but not often—happens that you live in a house with energy that doesn’t want you gone.

Yet, unlike the dark force in my Tuscan tale, this presence felt welcoming. We realized our 18th-century home held the lingering energy of past owners, and I felt safe alone.

Accepting that inexplicable events occur, we embraced the mystery. Then came my regression therapy win—a chance to uncover who shared our space.

The therapist, living on a serene farm amid meadows and pollard willows, chose me to help solve this enigma.

I trusted her fully as she guided me into a semi-trance, my voice echoing distantly as I drifted into other realms.

She asked questions, leading me to see a young girl, about 5 or 6, in a long white robe resembling a pajama dress.

Pale and malnourished with blonde hair, she smiled politely, saying she didn’t know how to leave the house.

The therapist probed why she couldn’t escape and what held her back. After a hesitant pause, the girl revealed her father’s gruesome acts: slaughtering and skinning small animals in the house, hanging them in the kitchen to sell.

She hated him for it, witnessing everything helplessly due to her poor health. Her mother died in childbirth, leaving her an only child.

Her father, drowned in grief and often drunk, punished her unjustly, blaming her for her mother’s death and calling her worthless.

The Journey to the Light

The therapist asked why she couldn’t leave. The girl admitted she didn’t know how but liked us and didn’t mean to scare us.

When asked if she wanted help to move on, she eagerly agreed. The therapist spoke in a calm, loving tone, assuring her the light held love and peace, urging her to go.

I’d never witnessed anything like it—this was a true medium experience beyond imagination.

The girl turned slowly as a brilliant white light appeared, brighter than I’d ever seen. The therapist said, “Walk over there to this light.

You are safe because we are with you.” Barefoot in her white robe, she moved quietly toward it.

As she neared, the light seemed to embrace her, and she merged with it, vanishing. A profound peace washed over me, tears streaming down my face—a session I’ll never forget.

Back home, the house felt unchanged at first, but soon, the strange occurrences ceased—the day she walked toward the light.

Years later, while finishing this book, I found an online site with my city’s history. Entering our address, I learned a poulterer lived there, matching the girl’s tale of her father skinning animals.

An old 1935 ad listed prices: wild rabbits 0.75 cents, hares 1.75 cents, domestic rabbits 0.80 cents, chickens 0.80 cents, all ready to cook.

His four-digit phone number (now ten) appeared again in a 1940 ad after moving his business. I traced his wife’s name and their daughter, who died in 1885, but her family tree remains elusive. I hope to learn more someday.
