No Light Without Darkness
Enter the shadowy depths of No Light Without Darkness, a real paranormal ghost story from my life as a medium.
This scary tale of a terrifying attic encounter reveals the duality of light and dark, where I—ever the down-to-earth clairvoyant—first sought logical answers before embracing the supernatural.
Perfect for those seeking scary stories read online free, this true paranormal narrative tests the boundaries of fear and faith.
A Night of Fear
In my decades as a medium, I’ve faced many paranormal scary stories, but this one stands out.
With my children at a sleepover, I was nearly asleep in my attic bedroom when an unsettling presence emerged.
This real ghost story, rooted in my practical approach, unfolds with a lesson in courage and spiritual resilience.
The Unseen Intruder
One evening, with my children away, I was drifting off in my attic bedroom when a sudden dread jolted me awake.
Lying on my back, eyes wide, I held my breath, listening intently. My heart raced as my son’s rabbit stomped frantically in its cage downstairs—a rabbit’s instinctual warning of danger.
What had startled him? Then, clear footsteps creaked up my attic stairs, sounds I knew from years in that house.
Panic surged. Was it a burglar? Where was my phone? Could I barricade the door? Whispering, “Please, Ben (my mail spirit guide), help me. Do something,” I froze as the creaks reached my room.
In blind fear, I pulled the blanket over my head (as if that would help), repeating, “Please Ben, please, help me,” awaiting the worst.
Footsteps paced the landing, then silence—until a deafening crash erupted from my built-in closet, a drugstore of toiletries (women will understand why we need so much stuff).
Jumping up, I switched on the lamp, expecting a burglar, but the room was empty.
The closet door gaped open, its shelves’ contents—a hairdryer, nail polishes, creams—spilled in a chaotic pile, some bottles shattered.
As a down-to-earth medium, I first considered a structural collapse, but the mystery deepened.
I called the police, my panic blurring the emergency number. Relieved when they arrived, they found no break-in—no unlocked doors or windows, no theft, just the mess. In hindsight, I felt ashamed of calling the police for nothing.
The top shelf had fallen, dragging the others down, yet the beams were secure. A friend confirmed the next day that the shelf had to be lifted to fall, leaving the cause unexplained.
The Entity Revealed
Alone again, fear returned. I slept downstairs, and by morning, the house felt normal again.
Asking my guides, they revealed an entity—a bored, unhappy soul—delighting in scaring me, irritated by my joy in helping others.
This darkness teases the light, testing my resolve. I couldn't help but wonder: wasn't there another—less scary—way to test?
Ben advised: Don’t fear it, for fear invites it in. Focus on light and good vibrations to prevail.
As a practical-minded clairvoyant, I sought logical answers first, but this real paranormal ghost story proved the unseen’s power.
Those who fear the darkness, my guides taught, miss the light’s potential—no light exists without darkness; duality shapes every tale.
